I’m very thankful for being part of this journey. The scenery I’ve seen were gorgeous. I’m in love with the beauty of Rhodopes Mountain. The map and the roadbook was informative and helpful. I recommend the tour. Thanks to all, it was a great experience.

A wonderful adventure in Bulgaria. I love exploring new places and meeting new people. Interesting nature, beautiful view every day and a wonderful mountain guide.

Despite the weather conditions, which were dismal, everything else was great. Navigation materials given, GPS tracks and route descriptions were of excellent quality. All transfers were exactly on time. The accommodation was simple but clean and comfortable.

This trip made me a fan of bulgarian cuisine. Especially in the guesthouses where you could savor some home-cooking. The views from the mountains were just as beautiful as had read about. Though the hikes were though and we had two storms on Pirin.

We really enjoyed our adventure. We were really happy with the support from your team from start to finish. Everything played out as planned. The accommodations were great, transfer of bags went smoothly, and the mountain guide was so professional and friendly. Many emails prior to our trip to you were answered promptly and helped us be well prepared for the hike. We are considering coming back next year to do the Rhodopes mountain.

Great time and very interesting walks.

This is an excellent trip. The accommodation in all the locations is fabulous: comfortable; great facilities; lovely food and friendly hosts. Some of the best accommodation we’ve had on any holiday. The villages themselves are beautiful too, great for a stroll in the evening and with good choices of places for dinner. The walks are varied in length and nature, and all are interesting. The highlight for us was the Vihren peak, which although a fairly tough walk is probably up there with the best day walks we have ever done. The path itself is a real feat of construction and the views are stunning. The advice to take walking poles is well made, the mountain guide helped a lot on the steep descents. The transport to and from some the walks is interesting too. Overall, a brilliantly put together trip, which we enjoyed immensely.

We read many articles about Bulgaria – where to go and what to see. Of course, we wanted to be outdoors, to hike in the mountains and we were hesitating between Balkan Mountains, Rila and Rhodope. Luckily for us, Traventuria got a self-guided program that combines Rila and Rhodope. We were very excited before the trip and when everything started it was magical! I remember the ride from Sofia Airport to the first location in Rhodope – Liaskovo. The rural house we stayed at was so charming, the hosts – Roumen and Zacharyna welcomed us warmly and offered immediately the most delicious dishes we have ever tried. Thanks to their hospitality we felt like home. Rhodope mountain was so colorful, so rich of pictures and panoramas. We were more than happy and excited about each hike. Rila mountain is also something that should be seen. Peaks that are touching the sky, lakes with transparent water. I could not describe this! Amazing!

Just finished the Bulgarian adventure. The trip exceeded all our expectations. My husband and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary the day we arrived in Sofia at the end of the walk. This was a great way to celebrate. Logistically everything worked very smoothly. The baggage transfers went well, the accommodations were varied but all were clean and welcoming. The walk itself was spectacular. Wonderful scenery through a variety of terrain. The walk was challenging but very doable. We were tired at the end of each day but after a good night’s rest felt ready to go the next day. Will definitely be looking at other trips in the future.
