I went with my daughter who is 27 and fit. I am in my sixties and in pretty good shape. We had a late 9:30AM start as I usually get out there at sun rise when hiking by myself, but it was okay. It was rated as a moderate uphill hike, and it was, with only a few parts that were a bit difficult to climb near the top. We luckily hiked on a cloudy days with temperatures around 25C.
I had to stop en route to take many pictures, rest for a few minutes and/or to take drinks. Make sure you have plenty of water. I also recommend you go early to get better light pictures. Thinking my daughter did not need to stop. She did it for me.
Interesting that I was just fine going down which surprised me. The views were terrific throughout the trail especially from the Peaks which totally made the hike worthwhile.

This was our challenge for 2023. We have come to Bulgaria before on vacation along the coast, but for the first time we decided to do something different. It was memorable. We met many interesting people, met other couples during the trip and learned many interesting facts from our mountain guide.
I had quite a problem with the insole in my shoe, it caused pain and discomfort, but everything else was great.

3rd trip with you, organisation from the start of booking to the end of the trip was excellent as ever, thanks to our trip organiser. Everything went smoothly and exactly as set out. Accommodation was of a very good standard and bag and other transfers went very smoothly, allowing you to simply focus on enjoying the experience. The walk itself is stunning and i would highly recommend.

It was really the best from what you can see there.
I have traveled a lot in Bulgaria, including many sites from this mountains but I wanted to take my family on a nice trip for the must-see places. And they are included in the itinerary. So nice!

Bulgaria is an amazing place. We visited the Rila and Pirin mountains and we are speechless. So much to see around. So rich wildlife and unforgettable views. Thank you for your help all the time around the journey.

The perfect 8 days trip! A great mix of nature and fun hiking. Our guide made sure everyone had fun, felt safe and gave us local information and recommendations, as well as being great company. Our group had a really nice dynamic, and I think everyone had a good experience. 5 stars!

This was our first long distance walking trip and our first use of the baggage transport, Inn to Inn model- it was great. Walking through beautiful woods, fields and moors was relaxing and meditative. It was great not to have to carry more than a day pack, no tired shoulders, and to know that our luggage would be waiting when we reached our destination, as would a hot shower, a warm meal and a cosy bed. Also, the hosts at our Inns were uniformly friendly and fun to talk to.

We travelled as a family with two kids 10 and 12. The program was just fine for all of us. Nice and relaxing daily walks, clean and comfortable accommodation and great food. The routes were clear and well explained, the information accurately described. Transfers just in time with a very cheerful and fun driver. Thank you Traventuria team for the great holiday.
